When the music stops, the real show begins. The Owners Documentary is the only true story of the rise and collapse of a $300 billion dollar empire.

The mighty have fallen and are trying to get back up.

The story begins in 1997, where a flourshing American Economy paved the way for unpresidented success in the business of music. 6 record companies known then as the "BIG 6" were at the peak of their dominicance.  The Big 6 distributed 92% of all music being released. And this is the way it was for nearly 100 years... until it all stopped.

What happened next was a series of events that some were able to perdict, while others were too arrogant to believe. And in less than a 10 year period these events crippled the music industry and brought it to the brink of total distruction. Who better to tell the story then the record label owners, record executives, entertainment attorneys, publishers, disc jockeys, artist, financial advisors and politicians who live it.

We ask you all.

Who killed the music industry?
